1930's Living Room

Hi All,

I was browsing around the web this evening and I found this picture of a living room from the 30's. Remind you of anyone you know??? Well, I told you I was born in the wrong time period. I love this look, and that is probably why my cape house and cottage at the Inn resemble this look so much.

Everyone have a great weekend!

  1. I think that we both watch too many old movies because I could live in that house too! We are both on the same page ~ and it's the old movie page. I am fine with that. Listen, I have Leave it to Beaver and I Love Lucy reruns. You have MTM (me too). We are both after that nostalgic care free Hollywood image. Show more pics! I love them.

    Love,

  2. I still love that look...
reminds me of my "Primitive period".
I used to pick for an antique dealer years ago...My house was all ecclectic with antiques and wood everywhere.
My basement is more that decor...( all my pieces I couldn't part with...)
    Have a great weekend,

  3. It's a room from one of those fabulous '40's movies set in a cottage in Connecticut - a cottage with a Dutch door and hollyhocks beside it.

  4. Oh yes, I love seeing all those old movies just for the set design! Your house looks so charming. Can't wait to see the inside, too. :)

    Have a great weekend!
