Dreaming...

Good Morning All,
We are getting very close to beginning construction on our new den/sunroom addition and 2 car garage with studio apartment at the rear of the garage. This will be a great place for family to stay when they visit. I found the photo below, on the net. This is very much the "flavor" of the new room we will have, off the kitchen.

A Favorite Spot

Wanna share a cup of coffee with me, in one of my favorite spots??? Come on over :) My carpenters were over last week and spiffed up the deck and pergola for me. They tightened all the joints and boards...


I love reading my magazines out here...


They put up a new sun shade for me, a new ceiling and rubber roof, so I can sit out here with a gentle rain, and a new outdoor light/fan...



This is where I try to steal an afternoon nap, every once in awhile :)

Movie Star Monday - Summer Edition!

Hi All,
It is finally summer in Illinois!!! I used to do a little segment called "Movie Star Monday." I haven't done one for awhile, but today is so gorgeous, thought I would share a few pictures with you of movie stars doing the "summer thing." How about a little beach time on the Cape? Here is classy Jackie and her little John John. Did anyone ever make a shift dress and headscarf look so good???

Tabletops

Hi All,
I have not shown you much of the bedrooms, but here are a couple of tabletops in the upstairs bedrooms. A vignette in the small bedroom, which used to be my son's room...


On the dresser sits an olden pic of me and my Granny and Grandpa's dog, on their farm...



Another, is a gift from my parent's for Dan's and my wedding in 2001...





In the master, one of my favorite tea pots...

Anniversary!

Hi All,
Tomorrow Mr. Tennis and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We went to St. Louis for a nice dinner and to watch the Cards/Cubs evening game. Here we are at dinner... Now for the BIG surprise he let me in on for our 1oth!!!


Yip, we are going on the Elvis cruise in January 2012!!!


Here is the ship... He has reserved us a balcony suite. Wow!




We will see the great Imperials, who sang with Elvis, among alot of other great entertainment.



I just put this in because he was sooooo pretty! I won't go on about how as a 15 yr old I saw Elvis for the first time in concert, live, but oh my, be still my heart.


Thanks, honey, for making our 10th so special!


Does Mr. Tennis love me or what???!!!

Flowers!

Hope you all have had a good day! Just another little yard tour. Things are really blooming now! Clematis fell over onto the chair, so I left it...




The wisteria is amost done blooming...
