My Front Door

Hi All,
I am reposting this for Sunday Favorites and Chari over at Happy to Design.

My front door had nothing on it as it is receiving a new paint job, so don't look too close, as it needs one more coat. I couldn't resist showing you the little arrangement I made for the door, tho. Hope you enjoy it, as much as I did
putting it together :)

Vintage Magazine Monday

Hi All,
Let's try this again :) Somehow I had a BIG space between my header and the blog posts. Thanks for the help dear blogger friends! I think it if fixed now. I am posting alittle early as this is our last day of vacation and we will be traveling home tomorrow. House plans from "The American Home Magazine March, 1935.
Another page...

Cover of the magazine. This is will look similar to our future addition to the Cape house. I love the arches on the porch. :)
Hope you are all having a great holiday weekend!

A View From The Cape House Kitchen

Good Morning All,
Thought I would share my view from my window over my sink at the Cape House. Hopefully, my son has kept my flower boxes watered while we are vacation and the flowers are even more abundant than when this picture was taken a couple of weeks ago :) The little figurines are gifts I gave to my beloved Granny. When she passed away I took them back and placed them, over my kitchen sink, as she had them over hers. The pic is of me and my cousin and her little girl, many years ago.

This and That from Fla

Good Evening All,
Hope you are all enjoying the start of the long weekend. Here are a few shots from today. I was coming back from my morning walk on the beach and noticed someone was flying a kite in front of the condo :)
As I was crossing the beach to get back to the condo, the ice cream truck has stopped and was playing Christmas Carols, like the merry-go-round kind of music. How can you get better than that, Jingle Bells and ice cream!!!

Mr Tennis and I were lunching at one of our waterfront haunts and I noticed a family of porpoises(sp?) I tried snapping them several times with their backs above the water, but all I could get were their fins.

This afternoon, a sailboat race in the ocean. They were really out there, so I zoomed in as much as I could.

Me at the pool area of the condo...

A hang glider and the sailboats waaayyyy back in the distance.

Mr. and Mrs. Tennis at another of our favorite places, Porto Fino. A restaurant that has been there for a very long time and family owned. Always yummy food there!

Garden Tour #3

Good Morning all,
I am reposting the gardens to link up with Cindy at My Romatic Home for Show and Tell Friday and Tootsie and Flaunt Your Flowers.

Reading in Fla

Good Morning All,
My good friends Susan and Bentley over at Ash Tree Cottage posted awhile back that they were reading a "tea mystery" so I picked one up and now I can't put it down! Next to my book are my new sunglasses from QVC. The top part are regular sunglasses and the bottom part are readers! How cool is that??? They are from Lori Greiner.

Hope you all have a good day!

Famous Couples Friday

Hi All,
Here is this week's famous couple. Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. and Joan Crawford. The marriage didn't last too long, but it did put Joan into Hollywood Royalty. Her inlaws were Doug Fairbanks, Sr. and Mary Pickford, the first superstars of the silent screen. The photo is ca. 1928. Doug, Jr. was born in 1909 and died in 2000. Joan was born in 1905 and died in 1977. I would assume they are on Santa Monica beach in CA
I wanted to show another picture of a young Joan. We all know her history, not a good mother, so they say, but she was a striking beauty in her youth.

More of Florida

Hi All,

It has been really great weather for us, for our vacation. I showed interior pics of the condo earlier, so here is a shot of the outside.

Looking north from our condo

One my and Mr. Tennis' favorite lunch hangouts. Crabby Joes.

A shot of us inside with our yummy lunch. I splurged and had some good ole fried onion rings!

Gratitude Wednesday

Hi All,
If you follow me, you know how much I love my little cape cod style house, and I am indeed grateful to have it. This is my first time linking up with Gratitude Wednesday over at Heart and Home. My climbing roses behind my picket fence...

Daytona

Good Moring All,

I found a way to get on the internet in our condo. Yippee!!! We are both having a very relaxing vacation in Florida. Here is Mr. Tennis checking out the ocean from poolside. This is one of our favorite places to eat, Billy's. It reminds of one a old historic restaurant you would find in NYC. Great food! Hubby snapped the picture of me in front of the building.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!
