Granny's Hoosier Cabinet

I now have this treasured piece of furntiure in my home. This was Granny Hollis' cabinet she had when my Dad and his brothers were little. She and I used to make many batches of noodles and cookies on this cabinet. Granny is now in heaven, but her treasured cabinet is here with me on earth. I think of our lovely times together everytime I pass by it.

Last fall I put a fresh coat of paint on it and left her chicken decals, she had put on it, so many years ago.

  1. I have my mother's hand painted china cabinet and I also think of her when I pass it. I treasure the memories. Your Hoosier cabinet is spectacular!

Yes, I loved to play tennis BUT after having both hips replaced and a 'crazy' left knee, those days are behind me.

  2. Thanks for your memory, Helen. Sorry to hear about your hips and knee. Well, the next best thing is to watch tennis on TV. It is such a great sport.
