The Gables at Home


Good Evening Everyone,

It has been such a beautiful day, here in Illinois. Tonight I am posting one of my favorite pictures of Clark Gable and his Carole Lombard, at their ranch in Encino, CA. The picture was probably around 1940. They used this Dodge "woody" truck for their hunting excursions. Gable was a duck hunter, and Carole went right along with him, in the duck blinds in her hip waders.

    I was wondering why I was not getting any notices about your new posts.

    I love early american too. So classic and a real touch of American history.
