Hi All,
I have not posted a Movie Star Monday post for awhile. I have been busy with moving, yard work and just general summertime duties. I am looking forward to the fall and slowing down abit and the COOLER weather. How about you??? I thought I would show you a collection of silent stars, along with some studio cheiftans. When you think of "silent stars" you get that image of the heavy makeup, grand period costumes, etc. Really, they were just regular looking people, which this photo shows so well. On the far left is Mary Pickford, seated, standing behind her is Charlie Chaplan and to the far right, seated is Douglas Fairbanks. Of course, he and Mary Pickford were married. I am sure this is probably a picture from a meeting that formed United Artists.
Hope you all have a great week ahead!
Hi Robin! I know you've been a busy little bee! I've so enjoyed seeing your lovely home.
ReplyDeleteNow this era was when movie stars were really stars, don't you think?
Be a sweetie,

I love to see your posts! Wonder who WE would have been had we been one of the movie stars back then?? I am thinking about that.....maybe I would have been a Doris Day? or a Debbie Reynolds? And YOU??
ReplyDeleteI love reading your movie star posts! I have so many favorites that I would have to do many, many posts as I could not pick just one.
