Hi All,
I think we have all been waiting for our Sheila's
Heart of the Home party over at Note Songs :) I am also linking up with Cindy over at My Romantic Home and
Show and Tell Friday and Ceilo at House in the Roses and
Show Off Your Cottage Monday.
Please come inside. Theodore is waiting for you!
I wonder how many times I have opened the original kitchen door into my house??? I love turning that door knob.
This is my view whenever I come into my home. We all enter through the kitchen door.
The cooking area of the kitchen. The cabinets are original. The house was built in 1939, so they have been here for awhile :)
The breakfast nook... The bell on the wall belonged to my maternal Grandmother. So nice to have in my home.
Thanks for coming into my "Heart of the Home."
So cute. Just like a picture in Country Living magazine. That kitchen has been around a long time. It has some stories to tell.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet kitchen - I can just imagine the good times that originate there!
ReplyDeleteHow quaint! A very welcoming space. Stopping by from Note Songs party. I hope you'll drop by Atticmag to see our kitchens - it's a three for one!

ReplyDeletehugs, bj
I love your kitchen...I can only imagine the stories those cabinets could tell. Patty
ReplyDeleteHi Robin! I love your kitchen door too - so welcoming! Now I'm adoring your sweet cozy kitchen too! Those are some very nice cabinets and I love the green color you've painted the bottoms. We have similar tastes in kitchen colors. I had red walls for years and just last year repainted to yellow. But I still have to have reds around me. Love me some color. I wish I could see the little tiles at the base of your countertops - looks so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Robin, for coming to my party.
You are a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I just love your home, it's so warm and inviting. Lots of charm... especially a grandmother's bell.
ReplyDeleteThe colours in your kitchen are gorgeous! Very charming!

Love the green on the lower cabinets and good to find another fan of what I call "grandma green"! I chuckled because it perfectly matches the color in my link for Show and Tell Friday. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou know your kitchen just oozes with Charm...I love the colors too, so happy and fitting for the space. Have a great weekend!!~ Debbie
ReplyDeleteI just love your house. I could move right on in at any time and be perfectly happy. But of course I love to open my own door and see my pretties and treasures around me. None real expensive. Mostly treasured for the memories. Heart of the home.

Robin, this kitchen is soooo charming! (They just don't build 'em like they used to.) I love hearing about how you love turning the old door knob, and I love that you have hung your grandmother's bell on the wall. I had to enlarge the photo, so I could get an up close view, because that tile border is fabulous. Is it original to your kitchen? laurie
ReplyDeleteHi Robin!! Oh, I'm so glad you liked the party! We just may have to make this an annual party! I love your kitchen, well, heck, I love your entire precious home!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

ReplyDeleteI just ate so many little YORK PEPPERMINT PATTIES, I am almost sick at my stomach..gotta go eat some crackers now. :)
I would love walking in your house through that door too. What a wonderful and welcoming home.

Beautiful cottage kitchen, love the red!

Your home is so very cute- I just adore it! Love the kitchen too. You are so lucky to have the original charm. My home was also built in the 1930's but unfortunatly the kitchen was updated in the awful 80's!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful room to walk in to! I just love those green cabinets. I hadn't realized before that they were original. We have our original cabinets too, but ours are only from 1951.
