Vintage Thingie Thursday

Hi All,
I am linking up with Suzanne over at Coloradolady and VTT and Dayle over at A Little of This and That and Simple Pleasures. Please go over and check out all the treasures! I bought this little lamp a couple of weeks ago at an estate sale. It belonged to a very nice lady. She has been gone for a few years and her husband just passed away a few months ago. I will remember her whenever I look at her lamp :)

The chalk/bulletin board has been in the same place with this and that on it for over 20 yrs. The vintage phone hangs on the wall to complete the picture :)
Hope you all have a great Thursday!

  3. Love the lamp. I like having one on my hoosier cabinet lit at night. I think I knew who it belonged to. Nice to think of those who are no longer with us.

  4. That sure looks like a cozy corner to sit and chat with a good friend on the phone! We had that same phone in our kitchen when I was growing up. I spent many an hour chatting h girlfriends, twirling that cord around my fingers, lol! Happy VTT!

  9. When the header picture came up, I said to myself, that can't be her house! It is adorable!!! My first time to drop by and visit. You brought back wonderful memories for me. The PHONE! Ours was black - remember the day we first got it. We had a party line back then.
Joining you over at Simple Pleasures.

  11. I love your little lamp and the memory it'll keep for you. I am also quite impressed that you're bulletin board hangs in the same place as it began twenty years before :) - I often think of how long something in my home has been in the same place for so long...and wonder if anyone else out there in the big wide world, also keeps some fine working details in the same way as I do. Good to find you.

The telephone....oh, the telephone. My mom had one in her kitchen all of the years we grew, like this....and it remained there, awhile after she took her last breathe.

This was a good visit, thank you for inviting me, by way of Dayle ♥

  15. I stuck a lamp on my kitchen counter last week because I needed some "task" lighting in there. I loved the way it looked there. I realized that I don't have enough little lamps spread about. They just add a touch that my house doesn't have.

I love YOURS! I think the whole little area that you displayed looks like a nook I would want here.

And like some others mentioned... I LOVE YOUR HOUSE!!!
