Indy Weekend

Dan and I spent the weekend in Indianapolis. We always stay at The Omni Severin hotel, where we had our wedding reception, 10 yrs ago this June. It is a beautiful old hotel and when I saw the Ballroom, I knew this was the place. Looking down from the mezzanine, they were starting to dress the tables for a wedding reception...

Before coming home, we lunched at Rick's Boatyard Cafe. It is one of our favorite places, especially in the summer, when you can sit out on the deck and watch the sailboats pass. Dan used to have his sailboat here...

Tennis Girls Unite!

This is the beautiful table setting that welcomed us for our new year of Friendship dinners. I have mentioned before, each of the tennis girls picks a month for their dinner, to host. Last night was Marsha's turn and she had great appetizers, rump roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, sauteed sugar snap peas and a brownie sundae for dessert, wine, tea and coffee. Yum! The beautiful table...

Here we are, our hostess on the left. Two of our girls are wintering in Florida, so we missed them... Suzanne, we are the vintagie part for your party :)

After a several games of dominos,(laughed till our tummys hurt!) she sent us home with a set of beautiful mugs. Each set different, for each girl. How great are my friends!!! We have so much fun, love and good times :)

Happy Valentine's Day from me and Mr. Tennis! Sorry for the poor quality, as I shot this through the glass frame. This was taken at our reception in Indianapolis. We were married in June 2001 in Maui, then had a big reception for family and friends, that July. We will be celebrating 10 great years this June :)

Famous Couples Friday-Valentine's Edition!

Hi All,
I thought I would bring back "Famous Couples Friday" for Valentine's Day! These two were the first power couple in Hollywood. Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford. They named their hunting lodge, converted to home, "Pickfair." How cool is that???

Deep Freeze!

Hi Everyone!
We are in the deep freeze, so I thought I would post some RED to warm things up :) Tonight is to be our coldest night yet, probably wind chills around 20 below. Yikes! Mr. Tennis' side table. Below are his piles of books that he reads...

Hi All,
Hope all of you are having a good Super Bowl Sunday. The ice and snow have subsided. A good thing :) Here is a little vignette left over from Christmas, on my counter. It really lights up the counter, so I just left it. The snowflake ornaments have fit right in around here, lately!

Hi All,
I'm sharing with you tonight one of my favorite furniture pieces in the Cape house. I love my Early American maple tea cart. I found it about 4 years ago in a used furniture store and it was in mint condition. It now sits in the dining room. A picture of Granny graces it, and a family picture of my parents and me, and another of my Dad and his two brothers, hang above.

Winter Storm--Round 1!

Hi All,
This is the picture this morning looking out to my backyard. More ice to come and then snow and blizzard conditions, starting to roll in this afternoon. Yikes!!!
