Movie Star Monday - Summer Edition!

Hi All,
It is finally summer in Illinois!!! I used to do a little segment called "Movie Star Monday." I haven't done one for awhile, but today is so gorgeous, thought I would share a few pictures with you of movie stars doing the "summer thing." How about a little beach time on the Cape? Here is classy Jackie and her little John John. Did anyone ever make a shift dress and headscarf look so good???

Young marrieds, Joan Crawford and Doug Fairbanks, Jr. probably in Santa Monica, CA late twenties or early 1930's...

Again...

Beautiful Liz...

Doug Faribanks, Sr. and Mary Pickford for a little canoe ride in their pool at their home, "Pickfair." Ca. 1920's

Santa Monica ca. 1920's

How about a cozy beach house is Santa Monica??? Ca. 1920's. LOL

Had to leave you with Mr. Yum Yum, lol The King sunning himself in Hawaii, 1968...

  1. You're right - no one did the shift like Jackie! She was so beautuiful.

  2. Beautiful photos. Yeah, no one ever wore a shift dress like Jackie...than again, no one ever wore anything as beautifully as her! She was so beautiful, I miss her sometimes, as I miss Grace Kelly and Dianna, princess of Whales, such unique ladies, no alikes any more!! Lots of hugs. FABBY

  3. Hi Robin! I love shift dresses ~ and yes Jackie had great style. It's sad to see Jackie and John together and realize that they are both gone too soon. Love your famous couples and Hollywood posts!!

  5. I still feel sad when I see pictures of John. He had so much of his life ahead of him.
