I am soooooo loving the chilly weather. Took a brisk walk this morning, which was a good start to the day. I am sharing my kitchen with Julia over at Hooked On Houses. This is such a great site dedicated to showing homes, of all sorts. She is doing a post on her followers kitchens and the photos we send her. Go over and say hi to Julia and check out her great website, when you get a chance. Here are the pics I contributed...
My kitchen. I changed out the lower cabinets from the apple green to a milky white and added new knobs...
Of course, I can't do a kitchen post without highlighting my Flair!
The nook area...
Granny's hoosier, which I have shown many times...
And the door leading to the basement, which I turned into a chalkboard. P.S. My daughter just pointed out I let the other "P" out of Pumpkin! lol

Love that Hoosier! How lucky you are to have inherited it!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this weather, too. it's perfect!
XO,
Jane
I've visited you a few times now...took a peek around, and I must say I have never seen a Flair before. How interesting! I'm guessing this is your stove? Too cool! Thanks for sharing your cozy kitchen!
ReplyDeleteRobin...
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great. I loved the portrait of your Flair.
xo, Rosemary
Love the updated cabinets, looks like a new fridge too!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how your stove fits right in. Love the chalkboard door, we have so much fun with the one in the kitchen at 1515
Your kitchen is so charming Robin! I love the fall weather the best of all! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is just perfectly YOU!! I don't think I've seen your chalk door before and I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love your Flair. When I was growing up, a friend's mother had one. I always thought they must be rich. :) Your kitchen is so warm and inviting. I have 'half a hoosier'. It belonged to my mother. The top half got separated from the bottom at some time, and I only have the bottom. I painted and worked on it earlier this year, and brought it into my mud room. I enjoy it so much!
ReplyDeleteI love your flair and I love, love, love your hoosier. Love your kitchen ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen! I especially like the door you made into a chalkboard. I'm new to your blog, so did you do a post about how you did that?
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty kitchen. I like your cabinets white. I am thinking of painting my red lowers white, too. :))

ReplyDeleteHi, I've never seen the 'Flair'. It's so cool!! Next time I watch an old re run of Bewitched I'll have to keep a look out. I love your kitchen redo! Beautiful job. I am following you. Please come by and follow me at Pinehurst Cottage. Come with us on our journey in finding a vacation cottage and the renovation of it. I'd love to get your opinion. ~Amy
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to see your home, Robin. Your kitchen is so very charming. The hoosier is gorgeous -- such a treasure. I know I've seen the Flair before, but it always reminds me of the Tapan that we had when I was growing up. The oven was on the top and the burner section slid in and out -- that was good because my Mom was a messy cook and didn't like to clean up....lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming kitchen! Love everything about it but that Hoosier?
ReplyDeleteOMG to die for!
Definitely your newest follower - would love to have you come by and follow back when you have the time!
Hugs,
Suzan
Hi, Robin! Glad I popped over in time to see your cozy, welcoming kitchen ready for Fall! I think the p in words like pumpkin and raspberry just seem unnecessary! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Robin,
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've been to your blog and I have to say I love your style and your kitchen is too precious. Just so cozy....LOVE! Joining your blog now and will visit again very soon.

There's no place like home! I love your kitchen with all it's little touches of red. Your housier is a delight...and it looks so nice with your newly painted white undercabinets. I can see you spending lots of time in this cozy part of your home.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and thanks for sharing your wonderful home.
Blessings,
Carolynn
Never heard of a Flair before, it looks like a huge stove/oven. Like you cabinets all white. Everything looks so pretty. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!
ReplyDeleteRobin, I am loving the colors you picked out for your kitchen! It is so warm and inviting! I just love how it all turned out. I also love that pic of your home in the header! Found you through Julia over at HoH! I have to say your home is just charming and that picture above looks just like a postcard- so unbelievably quaint! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin - I found you over at Julia's blog. The pic of your Frigidaire Flair took me right back to my teen age years. My mom had this same stove - in totally modern coppertone!
ReplyDeleteI have very fond memories of my grandmother's Flair. She used to pull out the stove top drawer and sit three year old me on top of it so I could watch my Eggos toasting up for a couple of minutes in the glass front oven. Every time I see the picture of your Flair it reminds me of her and makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much,
Wendy
