Mary Tyler Moore Apartment

Hi Everyone,

You know what a big Mary fan I am, so I thought I would post a picture of her "tv apartment." I loved the stained glass window passthrough she had, so when we renovated The Daisy Inn, I tried to re-create my version. Here is the result. Mary's is first, mine is below.

Everyone have a great evening.
I am reposting over at Chari's at Happy To Design and Sunday Favorites.

  1. VERY Nice!!! I am a big fan of MTM as well!!

  2. Great look.
You did a pretty good re-make.

  3. Nice! You did a great job. The stain window looks fab.

  4. I love Mary Tyler Moore! of my favorite memories was watching her show while waiting for Hubby-to-be to pick me up for our usual date! That was thirty-plus years ago, and it seems like yesterday. Mary was the ultimate single/successful/ perky/career woman...oh how I wanted to be her!!...think I still do!

  5. Hi Robin,
Your stain glass window is so pretty! and I love your kitchen colors. My kind of kitchen for sure!. Have a wonderful Easter, big hugs!

  6. I love this!! Can you push up your window and talk to Rhoda or Phyllis, Lou or Sue Ann on the other side?? That was such a funny show. I have most of the episodes on tape. Do you remember on "I Love Lucy" she had a pass through from the kitchen to the living room that was closed off by shutters. They used that prop for lots of laughs too. Homes from movies and TV have given me lots of inspiration for decorating. Great job Robin!

  7. i never missed a show!!!!! i adored the huge window where we could see *snow!* oh how i wanted to live in an apartment like that. it still makes me feel all warm and snuggly when i see an old rerun!

  8. Hi Robin! I loved that show too and the pass-through. I always thought it was so handy and I loved the stained glass. Your reproduction looks wonderful...I LOVE the arch. I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday...take care..Maura :)

  9. Very pretty .. I love it! Your little cottage is adorable.. thanks for stopping by to see me! HUGS!

  10. What a cute post. I too loved Mary. They should replay those shows! I loved her window as well and Reba of the show Reba has a pretty one too, although hers is always up.

Your's is great too, what a nice thing to have so you can cover up your kitchen just in case you haven't had a chance to tidy up. Happy Sunday Robin!

  11. Robin, You did a fabulous job! What a great idea. Now you have a functional space, a beautiful window and a reminder of a dearly loved person.
That lovely window will come in handy when you entertain and don't want your guests to see any kitchen antics!
AWWWWW Mary... who didn't love her!

    Gentle hugs,
