Hi Everyone,
You know what a big Mary fan I am, so I thought I would post a picture of her "tv apartment." I loved the stained glass window passthrough she had, so when we renovated The Daisy Inn, I tried to re-create my version. Here is the result. Mary's is first, mine is below.
Everyone have a great evening.
I am reposting over at Chari's at Happy To Design and Sunday Favorites.

VERY Nice!!! I am a big fan of MTM as well!!
ReplyDeleteGreat look.
ReplyDeleteYou did a pretty good re-make.
Impressive.
Nice! You did a great job. The stain window looks fab.
ReplyDeleteI love Mary Tyler Moore!..one of my favorite memories was watching her show while waiting for Hubby-to-be to pick me up for our usual date! That was thirty-plus years ago, and it seems like yesterday. Mary was the ultimate single/successful/ perky/career woman...oh how I wanted to be her!!...think I still do!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin,
ReplyDeleteYour stain glass window is so pretty! and I love your kitchen colors. My kind of kitchen for sure!. Have a wonderful Easter, big hugs!

I love this!! Can you push up your window and talk to Rhoda or Phyllis, Lou or Sue Ann on the other side?? That was such a funny show. I have most of the episodes on tape. Do you remember on "I Love Lucy" she had a pass through from the kitchen to the living room that was closed off by shutters. They used that prop for lots of laughs too. Homes from movies and TV have given me lots of inspiration for decorating. Great job Robin!

ReplyDeleteYour's is great too, what a nice thing to have so you can cover up your kitchen just in case you haven't had a chance to tidy up. Happy Sunday Robin!
Robin, You did a fabulous job! What a great idea. Now you have a functional space, a beautiful window and a reminder of a dearly loved person.
ReplyDeleteThat lovely window will come in handy when you entertain and don't want your guests to see any kitchen antics!
AWWWWW Mary... who didn't love her!
