Good Morning All,
Here are a few more pictures, as I am making progress with all the cleaning at the Cape House. Excuse the painters tape, as I have to repaste the boarder that has come loose. The little bell beside the door going down to the basement used to hang on my Grandmothers(my Mom's Mother) back porch. When we would go to visit, I would always ring it when we got to the door. She purchased it in Boston many years ago. Mr. Tennis bought me the autographed picture of Jimmy Connors. You know Tennis Girl must have a pic of her favorite tennis player somewhere. :) The breakfast nook...
My you've been busy but it all looks like it's worth the hard work. It's exciting to see it all coming together.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little area you have there. I love the vintage aprons. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove your newly painted cabinets! Very pretty shade of green! I remember my grandmother had a bell to call us in from the yard in the country. We have a bell too but have not installed it in this house. We used it often in our old house the same way Nana did, attached outside beside the back door to ring!
ReplyDeleteIt is looking wonderful! I see you have a 'Great White Fridge' yourself! I like the color you painted the cabinets! We went to Home Depot yesterday and brought back paint chips to choose from for the kitchen...I am painting the wallpaper....could you tell me what color you used?
ReplyDeleteHi Robin! I'm so enjoying seeing your little cottage! I love how you're decorating it. The green color on your bottom cabinets looks great! I love green! Keep the pictures comin'! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You're almost there.......I'm still painting too!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin! You have been so busy and your cottage is just as sweet as can me!! My grandmother used to have a bell just like yours. Hers hung on the back porch too. Don't work too hard and make some time for a tennis match!!

ReplyDeleteHi again Robin! Now that's a kitchen with character...I LOVE the cozy feel of it. That's how I picture a cottage kitchen to look! :) Maura
ReplyDeleteOh, your home is just full of personality and charm...my favorite things for a cottage to be.
ReplyDeleteI love the green of your cabinets...and the red wall looks nice, too. We are opposite...my walls are Sage and my bottom cabinets, red.
You are so busy getting things done, you have inspired me to get in my living room and bring it into SUMMERTIME. Will do that tomorrow.
