This is my new present to myself. I had it in the basement for awhile, but decided I would do it more often if I relocated it. It is a very inexpensive eliptical machine. It has a resistance knob, so you can get a good, little workout. I am not one much for walking when it is cold out, so this is a good alternative for me!
Here is my new spot for exercise. I pull the bistro table in front of it, put the laptop there, so I can blog, exercise and watch TV. It sure makes the time go alot faster! Please stop by Sweet Bee's Cottage. She is having a great giveaway!!!
Hope you all have a great week ahead.
I am linking with...
Robin...I could watch a DVD or watch TV and workout on that thingie but I definitely could not blog. It will be interesting to see how you do. Bringing it upstairs was a good idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever little machine! I like the idea that it doesn't need a whole room to itself!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! Wherever did you find such a contraption? That might be handy!
ReplyDeleteHey, you might be on to something there! I hate walking in the cold too... and I sure hate standing on a tread or eliptical (we have both in the gym in the garage). THIS.. might get me going when it's too cold out.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a battle, isn't it?..lol..
That's really a great idea! I haven't used one of these but if you can do it watching TV it should work while blogging. When I worked our computer was set up on a higher shelf and I would walk back and forth to use it. I was on my feet all day but was able to use the computer for work. I've tried to move mine before to a location in the house where it was up higher so I could use it standing up, but don't have a table the right highth. Your bistro table looks perfect to me. I hope you let us know how this works out for you. I would be interested in this set up...seriously!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow how fun is that. Good for you. I need to get back to exercising. Really, really out of shape. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteGreat idea~ I'm back on my treadmill, too...
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got a great set up. Just remember to move the laptop over and use it. I probably would leave the machine in the middle of the floor and walk around it, but I'm the lazy type.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, this reminds me that we have one of those bicycle pedal things for people with mobility issues. That's not my problem, but it was bought ages ago for my dad so he would exercise while watching tv. Thanks to you, I'm wondering if I can hide it under my computer desk.
Oh...I need one of these. Is it really possible to do this and blog at the same time?
ReplyDeleteTalk about multi-tasking! That's a nice little set-up you've got there :D
ReplyDeleteRobin ~ you are one super efficient little blogger! Now all you is a mini inflatable hot tub to ease those muscles after a workout. Hmmm ~ wonder if there is such a thing???
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
Susan and Bentley
xxoo
I love that thing Robin. I could really use it, but knowing the clutz I am I would fall off break a hip and take down the computer. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteNow that's exactly what I need to do. Though I know I won't!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Great idea, Robin! I'm going to have to put that on my wish list for Christmas next year!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin! Oh, this is a great little idea! I need one of these! It's not really cold outside here, but I'd have to get dressed to go take a walk! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I have heard Elvis sing 'My Way'. Now he'll be stuck in my head for a bit.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hi Robin,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I do love to walk outdoors but sometimes it isn't possible.
Thank you for visiting me today and the camera I use is a Canon Rebel eos xti-I love it!
Take care,
Carolyn
My goodness I can't walk and chew gum at the same time. I'd break a hip or order something outrageous.
ReplyDeleteHi Robin, wow...what a great idea!!! And so good for the heart! Good luck! And a happy and wonderful new year to you!!!
ReplyDeleteKristin xoxo
Well now this is the Law of Attraction because I am going to buy one of these portable elliptical machines, and have been checking them out on Amazon. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI have my treadmill in front of a bedroom tv and, you are right, it makes it MUCH easier. I even have some little 5 lb. barbells I use, too. hahhaa..ain't life grand!!

Okay, I have to hand it to you for being the queen of Multi- tasking! i could watch TV or a DVD but to type and be on the computer doing this, no way! I am not that coordinated!
ReplyDeleteI would be on the floor in a heap!
Hugs,
Debbie
Maybe I should get one of those exercise thingys instead of using my laptop in front of the tv. I saw the picture on your New Year's Eve post. Hope you will stop by to see my sisters on my NY Eve post. I have just become a friend and follower.
ReplyDeletegood idea to distract the mind while the body gets the exercise....
ReplyDeletehugs!!
