This is our former bedroom that we converted into our dining room... I painted this color on the walls and the border about 15 yrs ago. I still liked the color, just ready for a change...

Movie Star Monday
Good Evening All,
I just couldn't let September 2010 end without acknowledging the 40th anniversary of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. The first episosde aired in Sept. 1970. I had start my freshman year in high school that fall ( yes, that makes me 54 this year, lol) and what an impression this show had on me! I think seeing Mary in an office environment made me want to work in an office setting, which I still do, today. I loved everything about Mary. Her great apartment, her clothes, her style, her class. Great show, that I still watch today :)

Mary at her desk, in the office with Murray. She always had a flower on her desk :)
That great apartment!
And of course, the iconic scene at the beginning of the show. My Mom knitted me a hat like Mary's in 1970 :)

I Will Miss You, Elizabeth...
I think we are all saddened by the death of Elizabeth. We loved watching her on the screen and hearing about her private life. More than that she was a caring, compassionate woman who stood by her beliefs and causes. I am so glad that her children could all be around her, at the time of her passing. This is one of my favorite photos of Elizabeth, sans makeup... What a perfect beauty she was.

Are You Making Your To Do List???
Happy Weekend All,
Are you making your "to do" list like Mary??? :)
Are you making your "to do" list like Mary??? :)
As you know, I just can't get enough of Mary and her great apartment, clothes, etc. I am am always on the lookout for new photos of that great pad of hers, so here's a new one I came across. That sunken living room was so "cool" and those bookshelves were "fab"! Ok, I done with my 60's talk :)
Hope you all are having a great Saturday!

Happy Monday
Hi All,
Just popping to to say, "hi." I have been a busy bee with this and that. Off today to a dermatologist for my Dad's skin on his head. His burn wounds have completely healed, thank the Lord. This all started a year ago, when another "dermatologist" burned off some skin. There was no cancer, she just burned the places off. The last wound care specialist we are seeing healed them We LOVE him!

He is experiencing some dermatitis, so to be safe we will see this specialist today.
I promise I will be back soon with some fun posts!
Best,
Robin

It's in the 50's!!!
Hi All,
It was in the 50's today and sunny. What a welcome sight! I have started to paint in the dining room. This is the old color and border.
When it is all done, of course I will post pictures. I like the color, but I think it is time for a change. This color has been on the walls for over 15 years.

Tuesday
Hi All,
I had such a nice day off. I played Tuesday tennis, then lunch with the tennis girls. I visited a good friend's Mother, in the hospital, then home. My carpenter was here doing some of this and that in the Cape house. When something needs replaced, I always try to have it recreated the same as the original work, in the house. My carpenters are the best! I am sharing a few snippets around the house. Vignette above my sink...
