Sorry I have been an absent blogger, sad face. It has just been so hot here for so long with our 100+ temps, I am finding little inspiration in the gardens, etc. I drag the hose around everyday just trying to keep all my flowers alive. Poor things. :( A cold front moves through tonight and we will be back in the 80's again. I have all my potted plants sitting under a tree to help them from the heat a bit. In the meantime I will post some pics of gardens past.
Hope your weekend is great!
Glad that cold front is heading your way. Your gardens look beautiful! I'm sure they will recover.
ReplyDeleteI am so sick of this weather! and I hate the thought of what the electric bill is going to look like :(
ReplyDeleteWe have our family reunion next Sat/Sun so I hope it does get in the 80's at home!
Such pretty photos. Over here we have had the wettest June in 100 years...so it has been rain, rain & more rain. I'm hopng it clears up for the Olympics or all the sports will be aquatic!

Glad to have you back in blog land with all of that heat. I can sure appreciate the lack of enthusiasm. Happy that you brought your post to Seasonal Sundays.

This heat has certainly been a bit of a downer all around. Hard to focus on anything other then just daily surviving! LOL! You worded it just perfectly with the plants. I totally get it! Stay cool Robin!
ReplyDeleteThe heat has hit here too and we are soooo laid back now. It's all I can do to muster up the strength to water the plants. Even Bentley is taking it easy! I hope that it cools off for you tomorrow. I saw that a front is headed your way. Fingers crossed!!!
ReplyDeleteLots of love from your sister,
Susan and Bentley
I never thought about y'all having TEXAS summer weather up THERE! It's like you (and your plants/flowers/any live things) are hostage to the heat!
ReplyDeleteIt is strange that YOUR summer is worse than ours - at least so far. But then last year was the hottest summer on record here in Texas!
Weird Weather!!
You have my sympathy / I hate this heat too
ReplyDeleteI know the challenge of keeping flowers alive in this heat. Looks like yours are thriving!

We are in Northern Va. and it is storming BIG TIME here! Your flowers are lovely, especially love the reds...very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe are in northern IL and it is hot, hot here. We had a break in mid 80's for a few days but went right back up yesterday. We haven't had rain in over 20 days!! I'm watering my plants just to keep them alive. Your garden is so nice and so are you photos. My electric and water bill is going to force me to take a loan out (haha). Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday's Best.
