Dining Room

Hi All,
I finally have a DINING room in the Cape house. We always ate at the back of the living room in the dining nook. I love that little space, but never enough room to seat more that four, comfortably. We decided to move our bedroom upstairs to the large bedroom my daughter used to use for her bedroom and made the downstairs bedroom into a dining room. This is the result. I might paint in the future, but too busy now with the holidays...
A view of the armoire we brought over from the upstairs hall at the Inn...

Opposite view...
The vignette atop the armoire...

A little berry arrangement I made in one of my urn vases...

  2. That is a fantastic idea. I didn't realize you didn't have a dining "room" in this house. You definitely need one with all the entertaining you do with your tennis friends. I hope it brings you lots of enjoyment, especially this season. I love all the hoilday decor and that hutch in there is wonderful!

  25. Hi there Robin. I just love your houses. We seem to use a lot of the same colors in our decor, so I'm drawn to your home more each time I look at it. I am seriously crazy about your lime colored cabinets in your header picture. Oh, and I'm digging that green on the walls in the other room. What color is that?

Your home looks so inviting. I'm sure anyone who comes there feels right at home.

I hope you have a lovely holiday season.

  37. Your home is so so charming, Robin.
I know how much you are enjoying this delightful room..we didn't have a REAL dining room either..just a small breakfast room. We never used our garage, which was right by the kitchen, so Mr. Sweet and I converted it into a dining room. We so needed it with our large family and large fellowship group.
Your room is beautiful..I like the green paint.
