The Fireplace and a Mantletop

Hi All,
The mornings and evenings are now getting quite chilly in Illinois. Brrrrrrrrrr I love it that I can now use my fireplace in the old Cape house. There is nothing like sitting by a fire in your favorite chair :)
Happy Halloween to all!

  1. Oh how I miss a fireplace! Dad built one at our house with a huge hearth great for sitting on! Someday maybe I will have on again. So enjoy

  2. What a cozy fireplace. I love sitting beside ours too. We are still having warm weather in Georgia, so no fire yet.

    Enjoy!

  13. If I could give your house a cute award I would.

Round door? Shutters? Window boxes? Picket fence?

AHHHHH I'm trying to contain my insane jealousy. :)

Thanks for stopping by earlier. And I'm saving a pic of your house for inspiration!

Well my friend, I adore your Cape house and your endearing fireplace!!! Ohhh yes...there is nothing like curling up in front of a warm fire on a cold day...with a good book! Our mornings and evenings are becoming quite chilly here in Colorado as well! But I'm enjoying the cooler weather!

  20. I love fireplaces, but my Yankee hubby prefers woodstoves. He won out in our current little cottage farmhouse. The next go around, I want a fireplace!
