Suggestions, please...

HI!
I need a little imput on some color choices.  I know how all of you are soooooo good with color, so I am asking for some help.  Some you know that I am going to pick up my beloved 1965 Frigidaire Flair on May 31st!  This is the actual stove I am getting.  Just like Samantha's in Bewitched.  I am soooooo inlove with this stove/range!   Blogger is driving me crazy.  Still getting used to how to move around pics., etc.  Ugh. 
I am trying to decide what color to paint the wall where the stove will set.  I have a fire engine red there now. It has been colonial blue in the past.  I have not retouched the pics and they are from my iphone, as I left my camera at our camper.  I have a pic of the wallpaper above and also, a shot of the yellow walls in the dining room and the the room beyond is a deep mint green.

My carpenter, Stan was here today and removed the microwave off the wall. I am tempted to paint the walls the apple green that I have on the cabinetry.  I could leave it red or change the color of the red?  Give me some ideas and your thoughts are appreciated!

Movie Star Monday

Stars At Play

Good Morning All,
I am going to start a new series called, "Stars At Play."  I will do these posts every once in awhile, when I can.  Since you know how I LOVE tennis, thought I would share some tennis photos!
 Nothing to do with tennis, but I love the home of Gable and Lombard.  So pretty!

The Landscapers Are Finished!

Hi All,  the weather was so beautiful today, here in Illinois!  I went out late this afternoon and snapped some backyard pics.  The landscapers were here yesterday and are finished with mulching and stonework.  They did a great job!
 Looking out the door from the den to the patio area...
 They laid big flagstone stepping stones to get from the patio to the backyard...
 There were old yucca plants here.  I had them removed, so this spot is a work in progress...

Movie Star Monday

Hi All,  Seems I am having a hard time getting a post up, so I went through some of my pictures and put together some of my favorite shots of the stars that I love.  Just a hodgepodge.  Enjoy!
 Wonderful Mary.  Love watching the old show on DVD...
 My gal, Carole Lombard and Cary Grant in a film called, In Name Only.  I love the set they used for the house!
Beautiful Joan Crawford.  Movie Star!
 I think I have mentioned before that I used to send cards to Jimmy Stewart.  He would always send back a sweet thank you note.  Loved him!
 Another favorite show of the 70's.  McMillan and Wife, with Rock Hudson and Susan Saint James.  They were so cute together!
 Louise Brooks, something about this girl's face is so interesting...
My gal Carole again and her guy, Mr. Gable.  Were't they wonderful!

Let's Walk...

Hi All,
I took a walk around the backyard after our big rain and snapped some pictures.  We are in the middle of getting the landscaping finished around the den/garage addition.  As soon as we are finished, I will share with you.

I'm Back...


Hi All,
I haven't posted for awhile, coming back from a nasty flu bug. Hubby and I both had it. We are better now, so hopefully, I will be back posting again.
I wanted to share my latest obsession with you!
Do you remember the show, Bewitched from the 1960's?

How about her range/stove???

It was called the Frigidaire Flair. I want one!!!


I LOVE those double ovens! The burners slide back in, when not in use. How cool!
This is the one from the show in Samantha's, Bewitched house....
Here she is probably getting breakfast ready for Darrin...
I have been browsing around ebay and here and there on the net. Maybe I will come across my dream stove, as I think it would fit perfect in this old cape cod home!
Excuse this messy post, as I am trying to find my way around the new blogger!
