Tomorrow the tennis girls are coming to celebrate a birthday... I have the table all set... Everyone will bring a salad and I have baked the birthday cake and will serve the drinks... Hope you are all having a great week!
I wanted to share with you my favorite lunch! Fresh spinach, cherry tomatoes, any cheese I have on hand, sugar snap peas, whatever nuts I have in the freezer, topped with light balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Vegetable chips on the side... Today was a lovely "summer" day in Illinois. I decided to create an arrangement in my vintage planter. I went into the shed and found these lovelies... I love my lantern, with the battery operated candle on a timer... Cocoa making sure all is right with his yard...
I snapped this shot late this afternoon of our patio area. The day has been beautiful. More like a late May day. I am standing on the new steps coming out from our new den. The rose climbers are going wild. Hope you all have a great week ahead!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Last night the tennis girls were at it again. We love our dinner parties and they are now in full swing.Of course, we had the wearin' of the green! For some reason my pics posted in reverse, so I will be showing you the dessert first. Pistachio ice cream with hot fudge sauce... Here is our hostess, Peggy with her table. She is a gracious hostess, for sure... Shepard's pie, asparagus and salad... Lovely appetizers and cocktails before dinner.
The weather is wonderful in Illinois, so lots of yard work to be done this weekend. Hope you all have a great one!
Very excited to be a part of DebbieDoos magazine copy cat party! Here is my copy attempt. I am also killing two birds with one stone and posting this tablescape for the Refresh, Restyle!
I picked up the Country Sampler the other day. Love this issue! Here is the page from the magazine... Here is my copy... The table is set for tea... I found these wonderful yellow pears at Jeffrey Allens... Another look. Thanks Debs, for hosting!!!
Looking forward to seeing all the great mantels out there. Here is mine... A little closer shot and you can see our 3rd poochie. He doesn't shed at all!!! lol I love this piece and use it a lot when entertaining... And, of course, Mr. Bunny has found his way to my mantel. Happy Spring!
Welcome to my new front porch. this is part of our new addition. I really love having another space to decorate, this the seasons. I am sure more will be added in the way of decor, but here is what I have for now... View from the garage, looking toward the original house... Kitchen door, with my morning glory wreath... This came over from The Daisy Inn... A sweet little spot for some morning coffee... A closer look at the vignette... Coming up the new walkway. I am itching to landscape, but I will be patient for warmer weather. Hope you all have a great week ahead!
