My Dad has both knees replaced today, so I will spending most of my time at the hospital and taking care of my Mom, too, as she has had a couple of strokes in the past and macular degeneration, but we will go everyday to see Dad.
He did great through the surgery, which lasted 2 hrs and only 40 minutes in recovery. Tomorrow the therapy will start. He turns 82 this month and was playing tennis up until last Spring, when the pain just got too bad. He is an incredible athlete, so I am hoping he will be able to get back on the tennis court this summer. Until then, I will be taking good care of my Daddy and Momma :)

ReplyDeleteGood for you! SO happy all went well with your dad's surgery. I had a knee replacement and it DOES take a bit of time to recover. And HE had TWO! I know he is grateful to have you. Enjoy this time and pace yourself. The world of blog will still be here when you get back!
