A New Project!

Hi All,
I can't believe we are already in the month of February!  I am starting a new project on my laundry space, in the basement.  Our basement is just an old concrete walled and floored, unfinished space.  My carpenter is over sprucing up the tiny space for me.  I will share pics when finished!
Here are some winter scenes around the house, until then!

I love my vintage phone (17.00 find!)
Here is the before of the laundry area.  Can't wait for you to see the finished space!

Some Red at the Cape...

Good Morning All,
I haven't posted for a few days.  We are just trying to get over the shock of the fire at our Bed and Breakfast.  Life goes on and no one was hurt, so that is a blessing.  You can view that post here.  Thanks to all for you sweet comments.
A new day is here, so I am jumping back on board in blogland with a new post.  Thought I would pick out a few vignettes of red to share with you.  It is one of my favorite accent colors, to use here at our Cape house.
I left the red tartan Ralph Lauren tablecloth on the dining room table, from the Christmas season.
Love the vintage tray I found years back, at a local antique shop
I always leave out some holly and berries until March 1
There is Mama and baby keeping watch over the yard
My Granny's piano, and the picture that always hung above it.  What a treasuure to me

Hope you are all having a great week!

A Sad Post

Hi All,
There has been an arsonist runnning around our town, setting fires to abandon homes.  Two nights ago he hit our beloved Daisy Inn Bed and Breakfast.  We have not operated the Inn for a few years and thank goodness we had all our treasures out of her.  She is an historic home in our small town and we restored her lovingly, back in 2002.  The structure did not burn to the ground, but there is a lot of damage to the interior.  We had it on the market to sell, hopefully to a loving family that would love her, as we did.  I will keep you posted on what is to become of the Inn.  We see the insurance people today.  I am thankful that no one was hurt and the home was vacant.  This is fire number 30 in our town.  They think they know the person doing it but cannot get the evidence, so the story goes.  Our townspeople are scared and outraged at the longevity of this case and all the homes that have been lost.  Please pray for our community and thank you.
